A man died this Friday, October 11, 2024 late in the morning, while driving his car. He was traveling on departmental road 106, near the village of Cassagnolessouth ofAlèsin the department of Gard.
The Gard firefighters quickly arrived to help a motorist whose car had just fallen into the Roacharound 10h50.
An open investigation
Once there, the individual aged 45 answas totally stuck in the passenger compartment of his car. Firefighters were able to extract him from his vehicle.
Despite this rapid intervention, the man died on the spot. He was in cardio-respiratory arrest when he was taken care of by the firefighters and a team from the Mobile Emergency and Resuscitation Structure (Smur) of Alès who came as reinforcements.
An investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances of this dramatic traffic accident.
