Ardèche – When philosophy heals

Gillou Quillet offers an innovative approach to therapy and personal development, combining philosophy and psychotherapist tools.

Gillou Quillet combines philosophical expertise and psychotherapeutic skills to offer a unique approach to personal development in Saint-Sauveur-de-Montagut. A volunteer at the natural health dispensary, she guides individuals on the path of deep introspection focused on three fundamental pillars: presence to oneself, to the world and to others.

Remove emotional barriers

From a difficult personal journey, Gillou Quillet turned it into a strength, by turning to philosophy and psychology, to name and overcome her fears, before in turn passing on the help she received.

A former philosophy professor and psychotherapist, she was able to weave an enriching dialogue between these two disciplines. Consulted for professional problems, spiritual quests, existential difficulties, after-effects of trauma… her sessions involve mental clarification, a verbal method. For people experiencing difficulty expressing their emotions, she uses rebirthing, a breathing technique, which allows access to trauma by removing emotional barriers.

A philosopher at heart, Gillou relies on the distinction between being and becoming to motivate a constant movement towards self-improvement. By helping people resolve their problems, she encourages them to accept the past in order to better transform it and progress towards the present, liberating from buried suffering. A range of possibilities is then available to them. Gillou guides them on this new path paved with the unknown, sometimes strewn with pitfalls that can prove destabilizing.

A universal speech

In addition to his individual sessions, Gillou offers personal development, rebirthing and intensive meditation courses under the theme “Who am I?”, as well as more specialized training.

For Gillou, the key to a better world lies in individual commitment to personal development. A thought that echoes the words of the philosopher François Chatelet “To philosophize is to find a universal discourse that could be taken up by each of us.”
