Bidzina Ivanishvili considered the amount of security required by the Geneva Court of First Instance to examine her new complaint against Credit Suisse excessive. The Georgian businessman therefore contested the advance of 1.1 million francs requested from him by the courts. In vain, reveals the Gotham City website, which cites a decision of the Geneva Court of Justice dated April 18. Through this procedure, Ivanishvili is claiming 200 million francs in damages from Credit Suisse, in the case of the former star manager of the bank, author of embezzlement which caused losses for the former Georgian prime minister.

Bidzina Ivanishvili is reluctant to put his hand in his wallet even though he has already won two victories in this case, the facts of which took place between 2005 and 2019. The courts of Bermuda and Singapore have in fact awarded him 600 million and 724 million respectively million dollars in damages. Or nearly $1.3 billion in two judgments upheld on appeal.
