Ziguinchor, Oct 9 (APS) – Travelers transported by the ship Aline Sitoë Diatta during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday on the occasion of the resumption of its rotations suspended since August 31 for technical reasons congratulated themselves, in a interview with the APS, to be able to once again benefit from the services of this ferry linking Dakar to Ziguinchor (south)..

Departing from the Senegalese capital on Tuesday evening at 8 p.m., the ferry arrived at the port of Ziguinchor with passengers and goods on board on Wednesday at 2 p.m.

The ship had been under overhaul since the suspension of its rotations at the end of last August, according to the Senegalese Consortium for Maritime Activities (COSAMA), notably responsible for operating the maritime link between Dakar and Ziguinchor.

“The trip went very well, apart from the fact that we were a little late at departure. Otherwise, everything went well,” greeted Pape Seydou Koïta, one of the passengers transported for this trip to take back the ship Aline Sitoë Diatta.

“The trip was extraordinary. It was perfect. We welcome the resumption of rotations of the Aline Sitoë Diatta boat again,” rejoiced Mamadou Mané, another user. However, he deplored “the slowness of the boat”.

Otherwise, the trip went perfectly well, according to Mamadou Diédhiou.

“We arrived safely, thank God. The trip was comfortable. We are magnifying the return of the Aline Sitoë Diatta boat. We missed him,” he said.

Aguène, the other boat on the Dakar-Ziguinchor connection, took over during the period corresponding to the suspension of the rotations of the ship Aline Sitoë Diatta.
