The Sénégal Émergent Club issued a press release to provide its support and solidarity to President Macky Sall and his wife, victims of an “unjustified” and cowardly attack on a RAM flight.
“The Emerging Senegal Club magnifies the dignified, responsible behavior worthy of his rank as former Head of State of Senegal and personality of indisputable global dimension in the face of the hordes unleashed on him and his family,” reports a press release.
According to the same source, the Emerging Sénégal Club “denounces the unfair and dishonorable attitude for Senegalese diplomacy of the Minister of African Integration and Foreign Affairs, who in her letter to Senegalese diplomats in Morocco, took up the cause for the aggressor.
“Finally, the Emerging Senegal Club condemns the culpable silence of the new authorities of the State of Senegal on this attack, which is a first, in the political annals, on a former President of the Republic of Senegal and his wife. The Emerging Senegal Club demands from the President of the Republic the lifting of all restrictions linked to the enjoyment of all his rights to President Macky Sall, as former President of Senegal,” we read in the press release.
On this, the Emerging Sénégal Club “launches an appeal to all Senegalese citizens who love justice and freedom to respect the principles and values of the rule of law currently being brutally abused by the new government authorities”.
