Since Monday October 7, 2024, many have been breaking their noses in front of the Porte Vannetaise in Guérande (Loire-Atlantique), forced to go around the ramparts to get to the walled city.
Closed, but not every day
The Porte Vannetaise is actually completely closed, for pedestrians, cyclists and cars, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Fridays until 12:30 p.m. It therefore remains open on Sundays and Saturdays, Wednesdays, market days.
Until October 25, 2024, the municipality of Guérande will carry out consolidation work on the vault.
The operation consists of cleaning, stitching and repointing the facings.
This project is the last part of the restoration program planned for this historic monument.
This schedule was scheduled after the high summer season, in order to have a minimal impact on the daily and economic life of the neighborhood.
Intramural businesses will remain open throughout the construction period.
