A photo competition for residents, children and adults, in order to put nature in the spotlight, is offered for the second year in a row by the cultural actions and PCAET (territorial climate-air-energy plan) services of the community of municipalities Vendée Sèvre Autise (CCVSA).

“This year, to echo the Olympic and Paralympic Games, the theme chosen is “nature in motion”: a stream, an insect, a flight of birds…explains Christian Henriet, vice-president in charge of culture at the CCVSA. The objective, through this theme, is to observe the environment around us with a new perspective. Participation is free and is aimed exclusively at amateur photographers, individually or collectively (youth center, intercommunal leisure center, schools, etc.). »

Three prizes to be won

The rules are simple: a single photo, color or black and white, taken on the territory of the CCVSA must be sent, from now until September 2, to the cultural actions service ([email protected]) , accompanied by a free format text (poem, song, expression, description, etc.) to explain the choice of the photo with regard to the theme. Three prizes are up for grabs with an estimated value of €50 to €100.

At the end of this period, a jury, made up of local elected officials, agents and members of cultural associations, will meet to select two winning photos: one in the child category (under 14 years old), the other in adult category. A public prize will also be awarded among all participants, all categories combined. A traveling photo exhibition will then be organized to promote the action carried out and the participants.
