On another note, the vice-president of the International Relations Committee within the ANC recalled the support provided by Morocco to South Africa’s struggle for independence, adding that the Kingdom was among the first countries visited in 1994 by South African leader Nelson Mandela after his country’s independence to express thanks to the Moroccan people for their contribution to the liberation of South Africa and explore ways to further strengthen bilateral relations
