The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is investigating an armed attack in Thetford Mines. A man was the target of projectiles on Wednesday around 11:30 p.m. According to our information, the man in his thirties was injured by bullets.

The victim was taken to hospital. His life is not in danger, according to the SQ.

The police established a large security perimeter around the scene on rue Saint-Alphonse, in Thetford Mines.

The forensic identification service was deployed on site. The Major Crimes Division is conducting an investigation to determine the circumstances of this armed attack.
