Landes-Villeneuve-d’Ascq basketball: 1st sold-out shock
Tickets for this first leg of the Women’s League final have been snapped up. The atmosphere will be, once again, exceptional at the Espace Mitterrand in Mont-de-Marsan, this Saturday (8:45 p.m.) against the N°1 team of the regular season, ultra-favorite.
But the Landeses, who went for victory with guts against the young bigourdanes of TGB, have every intention of surpassing themselves to win a second title of French champions. They also want to forget their defeat in the final of the Coupe de France against Bourges, by pulling out all the stops.
It will indeed take great Basket Landes to bring down the northern armada which corrected Montpellier in the semi-final with 64 points difference over the two matches!
This final is contested by the best team over three rounds. The return match at Villeneuve d’Ascq is scheduled for Friday May 17 (8:45 p.m.). The eventual Belle will compete against the Northerners on Sunday May 19 (3:15 p.m.).
This qualification for the LFB final offered the Landes a ticket for the 2024-2025 Euroleague. This will be his fifth consecutive participation in this competition.
