Born in Nantes, “he had become a true Landais, a true Glorieux” in the words of the mayor of Mont-de-Marsan. Charles Dayot lost “someone who has become a true friend”the councilor of Laglorieuse since 2017, Jean-Pierre Allais, died this Thursday, May 9 in the morning at the Mons hospital. He arrived in the Landes, in Laglorieuse, in the 80s and has always been very invested in the life of his community.
Jean-Pierre Allais died of an illness which had broken out recently and took him away suddenly. “He leaves an entire village in mourning” recognizes Charles Dayot. Before being mayor, Jean-Pierre Allais had several jobs. He had for a time embraced the career of soldier, before becoming a business manager, craftsman. He then repaired antennas and televisions.
“A man of extreme kindness”
Once he arrived in the Landes, he integrated the commune’s festivals committee, before the municipal council, and to occupy the function of city councilor. Charles Dayot remembers a man “benevolent, extremely kind, who was always there.”
He had also learned to love the local culture, liking bullfighting for example. His funeral could take place early next week. The exact date will be known in the coming days.
