A 30-year-old woman was arrested last Wednesday by the Vallard-Thonex customs brigade, in Gaillard in Haute-Savoie, while she had 7.8 kg of cocaine on her, reports France 3.
The discovery was made during the check of the vehicle in which she was, a “taxi registered in Switzerland traveling between Geneva-Cointrin airport and Annemasse”, according to a press release from the regional customs and indirect rights department. ‘Annecy.

When an agent palpated the passenger, she immediately felt “a hard mass around the abdomen and thighs” of this thirty-year-old. She was in reality wearing a “sheath taped to the body, hidden by clothing” with the 7.8 kg of cocaine.
Still according to local television, the suspect admitted that it was drugs. This woman of Portuguese nationality explained that she had taken the plane from Sao Paulo, Brazil, to Madrid in Spain and then to Zurich, Switzerland, to hand over “the drugs” for “5,000 euros in cash”. She was placed in “pre-trial detention” following her custody, pending her immediate trial which will take place on Monday.
