Last weekend, the departmental championships in youth and promotion triplets were contested at the Sainte-Livrade-sur-Lot bowling alley. The youngsters from the Pétanque de l’Esplanade and the triplet from Trentels shone.

Once again, the students of the Marmandaise pétanque school won most of the titles: two finals (minimals and cadets) out of three were 100% Marmandaise.

However, it is encouraging to note that many clubs sent young bowlers to these championships, some of whom, particularly among the juniors, were on the front line. In minimals: Deven Philipot, Estéban Laliman and Messon Renard beat Messy Gally Thiméo Lekeux and Kyméra Reinhart. In cadets: Keiven Renard, Kelson Lafleur and Daymon Reinhart beat Enzo Parisotto, Matéo Penicaud and Ange Dolle. Among the juniors, the mixed team (Marmande / Barbaste), composed of Roman Gally, Kameron Renard and Ange Dolle won the title against Alexandre Coufignal, Lagou Mercante and Lorys Lefebvre (mixed Monflanquin / Verteuil / Pétanque Villeneuvoise). All these teams will represent Lot-et-Garonne at the Nouvelle-Aquitaine championship on May 25 and 26 in Saint-Vaury (Creuse) and will be accompanied by the junior team composed of Lucas Lajugie, Mathéo Jardet and Mathias Dommanget (mixed Mauvezin / Fauillet / Casteljaloux).

In the senior promotion triplets departmental championship, the title goes to Christophe, Nicolas and Christian Gonzales from Trentels who beat in the final the Grandfonds triplet made up of Théo and Michel Alvès Nunès associated with Anthony Dufaure. The champions will participate in the French championship in Pontarlier (Doubs) on July 13 and 14. The finalists will represent Lot-et-Garonne at the Nouvelle-Aquitaine championship in Isle (Haute-Vienne) on May 25 with the semi-finalists: Bruno Bertani, Valentin Arquié and Hasan Taabdallate (Pont-du-Casse), as well as Florian Vandenberghe, Christophe Renard and Mickaël Kleinhans (Grandfonds).

Next weekend it’s time for the departmental championships in senior men’s doubles TC and senior women’s individual TC.
