SWITZERLAND – Roman Josi released by Nashville. Phew!

The defender Roman Josi got the green light from Nashville for participation in the Worlds. He will be available to the Swiss team from Thursday May 9, 2024. Following the elimination of his team in the play-offs against the Vancouver Canucks, Josi, who recently played his 1,000e match in the NHL (regular season and play-offs), reinforces the selection of the head coach Patrick Fischer.

For Josi, this is the first participation in a World Championship since 2019 in Bratislava. “ If their elimination in the play-offs is of course not sad for the Nashville Predators and for Josi in particular, I am very happy for Switzerland that we can gain a very valuable leader and pillar for the team”declares Fischer, referring to the arrival of the defender.
