“The Spanish government reaffirms the strategic importance of the partnership between the European Union and Morocco, from which both parties derive significant benefits and in the development of which Spain has played and will continue to play a fundamental role.
The government takes note of the judgments handed down by the Court of Justice of the European Union concerning agricultural and fishing agreements between the European Union and Morocco.
The government supports the statement issued jointly by the President of the Commission, Ursula Von der Leyen, and the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the Commission, Josep Borrell, and will examine with the institutions and partners of the European Union the means to continue promoting relations with Morocco, which is a key partner for Spain and for the European Union.
