The region Occitanie will be the scene of several stormy outbreaks from the evening of Monday October 7, 2024. On the side of Toulousethe weather could well be better. Actu Toulouse took stock with an expert from Météo France.
10 mm of rain in Toulouse
“The most virulent storm cells will transit further east and north of the Occitanie region, Météo France tells us. 10 mm of rain is expected to fall in the city between the evening of Monday October 7 and the middle of the night. Thunderstorm activity will be of low intensity in Toulouse. It could start as early as 8 p.m. but will not last. An ordinary activity in short. »
Yellow alert
The wind from Autan, very present, nevertheless justified the establishment of a yellow vigilance from 12 p.m. this Monday, October 7. In Lauragais, it will blow up to 80 km/h from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Squalls which should be less violent in the city center of Toulouse.
Concerning Occitania as a whole, thehears and the Eastern Pyrenees will a priori be the most spared departments while the storms will be concentrated in the north but also in the Hautes-Pyrénéesat altitude.
Tuesday October 8 in the morning, calm will gradually return, with possible remains in Haute-Garonnein the Tarnl’Aveyronthe Lotthe Tarn-et-Garonnepart of the Gersl’Héraultthe Gard and the Lozere. In the afternoon, only Hérault and Gard could still see the sky get angry, before a general return to calm in the evening with only some scattered precipitation.
