It takes place every two yearsand it is a literary event eagerly awaited by local and regional authors.

This year 2024 will see the third edition of the book fair of the association “Lire et Loisirs au Plessis”, which will be held Saturday October 19 and Sunday October 20 at the Henri-Lenvoisé multipurpose room, at Plessis-Grimoultdelegated commune of Monts d’Aunay, in .

Around thirty authors expected

A thirty authors are expected and already registered, ready to to exchange with the public and dedicate their works.

This same weekend, the association, which manages the library, will carry out a sale of second-hand books.

These are books that we have in multiple copies or that don’t match what our readers are looking for. Our objective, by organizing this book fair, is to make local authors of all genres known: novels, detective stories, testimonies, fantasy, manga, youth… But also to make our library known.

This library, located between the town hall and the Plessis-Grimoult postal agency, is open on Wednesdays from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. She is open to allinhabitants of Plessis-Grimoult or not. No membership is required and the loan of the book is free.

Call for donations

In order to enrich its choice of books to offer to its readers, the association is looking for books in good condition: novels, detective stories, testimonies, history, etc. Donations are received during library opening hours, on Wednesdays. afternoon and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., and during the book fair. During this third edition, the association will sell a DVD retracing the day of June 1, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Landing and the Liberation of .

This DVD features films about Battle of Mont Pinçonas well as testimonials of people who lived through this period.
