The first 2024 Fiat 500e are now in Canada. The first batch of cars, built in Italy, has arrived in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and will soon be available to consumers in Quebec and British Columbia.

This fully electric version of the Fiat 500, the brand’s emblematic model, begins the electric era of Stellantis on the Canadian market.

Attractive style and an attractive price
The Fiat 500e stands out not only for its design, but also for its competitive starting price of $42,190 (including additional charges, on an MSRP of $39,995). Obviously, at this price, the city dweller is also eligible for government rebates, in particular, $5,000 at the federal level. For the moment, the rebate amounts to $7,000 in Quebec. Buyers in British Columbia are eligible for a $4,000 provincial rebate.

Potential buyers could, however, hesitate on one point, that of autonomy. The 500e’s 150 miles is more in line with what you’d find in European and Asian urban EVs than what you’d find here, with the exception of the Mazda MX-30, for example. In other words, the clientele of this model is resolutely urban.

As part of the model’s launch in North America, the Fiat brand launched an advertising campaign with director Spike Lee and actor Giancarlo Esposito. A series of creative content featuring these two icons will be broadcast on the brand’s social networks, highlighting the global specificity of the little 500 in its new electric incarnation.
