Qualifiers for the French “promotion” championships which will take place in Castelnaudary (Aude) on July 13 and 14, the Indre championships in the specialty kept all their promises on May 4 and 5 with 87 triplets entered. To everyone’s surprise, Berneron (Argenton) did not pass the group stage. Petit (Issoudun), Huguet (Déols), Rebrioux and Picaud (USPVC) were not happier and bit the dust after the group stage. Played in the squares of honor, the semi-finals saw the victory of Goujeon-Léonard-Goujon (Stars) over Charbonnier-Robin-Dissemberg (Berrichonne) with a clear score of 13-5.
The stars shine
The other meeting, however, was much tighter. Quantin-Michelet-Jallerat (La Châtre) finally won in the money time against Breuilllaud-Chantaxay-Cotta (Saint-Georges) 13-11. In the final and in the rain, the Castres quickly took off to lead 9-2 before the weather cleared and the Stars grabbed point by point to win 13-9. President Joinin’s fourth victory in the Indre men’s championship since the start of the season after the men’s head-to-head (Michas), the women’s doubles (Fournier-Navarre) and the mixed doubles (Fournier-Vitet).
