Six players are vying for the four available places in the Swiss 3×3 team which will play in the Olympic Qualification Tournament in Debrecen (May 16-19).

Natan Jurkovitz and Jonathan Kazadi are in competition with the four players present at the Hong Kong TQO last month, Swiss Basketball said.

Crowned Tuesday evening in SBL with Friborg Olympic in “classic” basketball, Natan Jurkovitz and Jonathan Kazadi join the three Swiss members of Team Lausanne 3×3 (Marco Lehmann, Gilles Martin and Westher Molteni) as well as Jonathan Dubas in the “short list” candidates for selection.

The final decision will be made on Sunday, underlined the Secretary General of the Federation, Erik Lehmann, in a message to Keystone-ATS. The quartet that will be designated will face Lithuania, Germany and Madagascar in Group A of a competition which will bring together 16 teams per gender and the first three of which will win their ticket to the Paris Games.

Marco Lehmann, Gilles Martin, Westher Molteni and Jonathan Dubas – who had been released by Vevey Riviera during the play-off – had failed in the group stage of the first TQO organized in Hong Kong and dominated by Latvia. The quartet missed the semi-finals by a basket.
