Founded in 1996, the Society for Technological Arts [SAT] is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development and support of digital culture, which combines within its walls the activities of an artist center, a research laboratory, a dissemination space and a training center. The SAT is internationally recognized for its active and pioneering role in the development of immersive technologies, group interactivity and mixed realities as well as the creative use of very high-speed networks. Its transdisciplinarity and hybrid mission make it a unique organization of its kind in Montreal and elsewhere in the world.

The Company is looking for a key person to fill the position of Reception and Ticketing Supervisor

Job objective

Be responsible for managing ticketing staff and ensuring the smooth running of the sale of SAT events.

Main responsibilities

Reporting to the Programming Director, your responsibilities as Reception and Ticketing Supervisor are as follows:

Ticketing:

  • Ensure the sale of all SAT events on the Weezevent platform
  • Follow up with promoters and external clients
  • Ensure the proper functioning of ticketing equipment (scanners, software updates, printers, etc.)
  • Participate in candidate interviews and selection of new ticketing employees
  • Ensure the training of new employees as well as ongoing training on the ticketing system used by the SAT
  • Create and maintain ticketing system training documents
  • Evaluate the performance of ticketing employees
  • Ensure the maintenance of good practices in ticketing operations, and develop employee knowledge
  • Write reports of daily operations
  • Organize the schedules of ticketing staff according to SAT events
  • Manage stocks of tickets to print
  • Support ticketing operations during events
  • Ensure monitoring of various customer service situations for the entire ticketing operations department

  • Availability outside normal working hours (flexible schedule evenings and weekends)

Experience required

  • Experience in the cultural industry sector and in customer service
  • Experience in team management
  • Experience in ticketing system management
