Cups – semi-finals. This Wednesday, May 8 will be a day dedicated to cuts. Lopez, Favre and reserves are on the program.

On this public holiday, there is no football break. In the Lopez Cup, there are four clubs playing in different divisions. In Favre, the two teams from D2 will receive those from D1. In the reserves cup, the four semi-finalists play in group B of D2.

Lopez Cup IDEC

Alzonne (D1) – Corbières Méditerranée (R3), at 3 p.m.

Twice winner of the Lopez Cup (in 1949 against Lasbordes and in 1973 against Villasavary), little Thumb, Alzone, of coach Brahim Setgen, will try to play a third final, but for that, he will have to climb this last step in his Louis-Gélis stadium. After having pinned HMO (R3) and St-Nazaire (D1 champion), why not dream of a new exploit from President Yooan Théron’s players?

Corbières Mediterranean, winner of FU Narbonne, is also on the podium in R3. The Nouvellois lifted this trophy in 2003 with François Oliver, who will be present as a player, and Denis Encelade, as coach to this day. Certainly the FCCM is the favorite on paper, but what will it be on the ground?

Conques (R2) – FA Carcassonne (R1) at 5:30 p.m.

It will be the reunion between Conchesholding him of this cup, and THE FCC, the last finalist. It is with an air of revenge that the Carcassonnais arrive at the stadium to erase their defeat (4-1) at Domec last June. The residents of Orbiel will be deprived of a pair of elements, but will rely on its football school. After its assured retention in R2, USC will play without pressure against Facois still relegated to R1. Despite Niang’s return, President Guillaume Bosom’s players are still expecting a complicated match in a stadium that will be sold out.

Favre Cup

Trapel (D2) – US Minervois (D1) at 2:30 p.m.

It is at the Villegailhenc stadium that the Trapelleader of his group in the D2 championship, will receive US Minervois, dear to the Mani family. The USM has won several times in this event which is close to its heart with the Remaury, Abos always present within the Minerva attack. Le Trapel, of coach Boni, author of a remarkable season whatever the competition, intends to defy all predictions by offering itself a final.

Pexiora (D2) – UF Lézignan (D1) at 5 p.m.

Specialist in the last square in section, Pexiora, carried by its enthusiastic public, despite one less division, is far from admitting defeat, quite the contrary because let’s have no doubt the motivation will be there. L’UF Lézignan intends to build on its good momentum in the championship after its success at Moussan (OCSM), to offer itself a final in front of its supporters at the Moulin.
