The Caussade sports center hosted the first Karalympic Games in Tarn-et-Garonnais on Saturday, bringing together children from the clubs of Caussade, Castelsarrasin, Montauban, Labastide-Saint-Pierre, Beaumont-de-Lomagne, Moissac and Lafrançaise, a group organized by the children’s commission of the departmental karate committee represented by Marc Valette (Caussade), Dominique Zazzera (Moissac) and Elsa Morel-Civera (Montauban). The approximately 80 children present, divided into 8 teams, competed in 4 educational workshops in a confrontation between 2 teams.

Workshop 1, karate adapted by 2 with 1 visually impaired child and a guide, by Stéphane, Nicolas, Rosine and David, from the Moissagais Karate-Club.

Workshop 2, team relay by Elsa, Olivier and Céline, from Montalban Martial Arts.

Workshop 3, opposition games by Stéphane (Gaia domain); Rock and Anne, from KC Beaumontois, and Antoine, from KC Caussadais.

Workshop 4, strategy games by Ousmane, Sabrina, Magali, Malia, Maïssane, from Castelsarrasin Karate.

During this busy and intense afternoon, everyone let off steam in a fun and sporting spirit. Each of the 81 participants received a diploma and a souvenir bracelet, as well as a snack. Thank you to all the speakers, participants, parents, organizers, for bringing this wonderful event to life.
