where to find cheaper fuel in Maine-et-Loire?

Like a taste of vacation: the sequence of May 8 and Ascension allows many French men and women to enjoy a long bridge. Many plan to take advantage of this long weekend starting this Tuesday, May 7. Result: traffic should be dense from large towns towards the coast, especially if the weather is favorable for swimming.

Are you planning to hit the road, your swimsuits and beach umbrella are loaded but you forgot to refuel? Don’t panic, Le Courrier de l’Ouest shows you the cheapest stations in Maine-et-Loire using data from the combustibles.org site as of Tuesday May 7, 4:30 p.m.

Who says diesel, says 1,659 euros

Like nearly 7 out of 10 vehicles in France, does your car run on diesel? Head to the Systèmes U of Saint-Macaires-en-Mauges and Segré-en-Anjou Bleu, the Intermarché of Saint-André-de-la-Marche or the Leclerc of Sainte-Gemmes-d’Andigné to fill the tank at 1.659 euros per liter.

Lead-free without breaking the bank

To stock up on SP without breaking the holiday budget, you will need to go to the Carrefour pump on rue du Grand Launay in Angers (1.866 euros per liter of SP95). Do you prefer longevity for your SP98 engine? Set your GPS to the Intermarché in Chalonnes-sur-Loire where SP98 is sold for 1.889 euros per liter.

From E10 to the nearest euro

Do you add agroethanol to your SP95? To do it at the best price, go to Carrefour de Cholet, or to Leclerc on avenue Koenig and rue de la Girardière, still in Cholet (1,799 euros).

E85, fuel for smart people at a low price

Unbeatable. E85 is the cheapest fuel. Foresighted people who have had a conversion kit installed or invested in a “flex-fuel” vehicle and are using superethanol know this well. The most economical go to Leclerc de Cholet rue de la Girardière (0.819 euros). Even the most expensive station is cheaper than the previously mentioned fuels. Only LPGc is more interesting…

In 2023, the distribution of LPG increased by 68.7% in one year and new vehicles running on liquefied petroleum gas represented 3% of all sales in France, according to the France Gaz Liquides barometer. Did you yourself make this choice? To do it at the lowest price, go to Carrefour Cholet, avenue d’Angers (0.919 euros).

Motorway stations still the most expensive

Unsurprisingly, the prize for the highest prices most often goes to motorway stations. Count 45 cents more at the BP on the A11 in Saint-Sylvain-d’Anjou, 42 cents for the E10 in the same station. Diesel is 0.386 euros more expensive at the Shell in Longué on the A85. The E85, 0.155 more at the Avia de Saint-Sylvain d’Anjou on the A11, again.

Avia from Champtoceaux is 0.133 euros more expensive per liter than SP95 and Système U from Longué, barely 8 cents more expensive for LPG.

Amounts that seem insignificant but can change the situation on a tank (or several!). If we take the example of a Renault Clio, the best-selling car in France in 2023, this represents a difference of up to 18 euros. If you drive a Peugeot 208 or Dacia Sandero, the second and third best-selling models, you will save almost 19 euros and 22.5 euros, by following our instructions.
