Every year, at this time, winegrowers open their cellars to the public for a weekend. In addition to visits, they organize numerous activities. A unifying moment for these wine professionals and a discovery of their profession for visitors. In Haut Vaucluse, the festivities begin this Thursday.

The Winegrowers of Roaix-Séguret

Find tastings and promotions all day long on May 11. And if you wish, you can register for the walk in the vineyards which takes place from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (information on 04 90 46 91 13).

The La Gaillarde cellar in Valréas

La Gaillarde (Caveau Saint-Jean) is organizing its traditional meal in the cellar on Saturday May 11, at midday (¤33 per person aperitif, wine and coffee included). Reservations at the cellar, by telephone at 04 90 37 36 75 or by email at caveau.saint. [email protected]

Sunday, like every second Sunday of the month, the market will also be set up in the cellar parking lot, with the participation of the AVE (vintage cars).

The cellar is open Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The vineyards of Visan, Rasteau, Vacqueyras and Beaumes-de-Venise

The vineyard offers an unforgettable experience. On the program: visit to the shops from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and, depending on the site, visit to the cellars, vineyards, meals and other activities. The festivities will begin in Rasteau on Thursday May 9 with the Festin rastellain (read below),

Friday May 10 and Saturday May 11, the Visan cellar is offering an unusual tasting at the Cave Saint-Vincent (free, reservations at 04 90 28 50 89). On Saturday, she organizes a giant paella to share with her Artisan winegrowers (¤15 per person, reservation required either via the online store or by telephone on 04 90 28 50 89; lunch inside in case of bad weather). In Vacqueyras, there will be a wine market with the participation of winegrowers from other appellations, 3 cellar visits at 11 a.m., 2 p.m., 4 p.m. (free), tours of the vineyard in 4×4 (¤10 per person) and on-site catering (food truck and wine bar); Reservations required on 04 90 12 41 26.

Saturday May 11, the Beaumes-de-Venise cellar is organizing two cellar visits at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. (free), tasting of old vintages at 4 p.m. (free) and a creative space to imagine works in corks (reservations required on 04 90 10 19 11).

The Rasteau cellar

The party gets off to a flying start for the Rasteau cellar. Alexane Zuno, manager of the cellar, her colleague Matthis Morteau and the winegrowers’ team welcome you from Thursday May 9 for three days of celebration.

On Thursday, they are waiting for you at the Rasteau cellar for a “Rastella Feast” which will start with a welcome drink and continue with lamb on the spit, cheeses and dessert (25¤ per person).

Friday and Saturday, free guided tours of the winery are scheduled at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Saturday, from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., the Chaloin de Puymeras chocolate factory will be present for “wine and chocolate” pairings. To brighten up your palate, a selection of three wines will accompany three of their chocolates, one dark, one with olives and another specially made for Rasteau with the sweet wine of the appellation.
