A fifty-year-old suffering from psychiatric disorders injured his mother with six stab wounds on Saturday May 4 in the Gratte-Ciel district of Villeurbanne, according to information fromNews Lyonconfirmed to Progrès by the DIPN (interdepartmental direction of the national police).
Under guardianship
The life of the victim, who was hospitalized, is not in danger and following a psychiatric assessment, her son was admitted on Sunday May 5 to the Vinatier hospital in Bron.
The fifty-year-old, who is under guardianship, presented himself on Saturday at the municipal police station near his home, accusing himself of having stabbed his mother in her apartment on rue Michel Servet, in the middle of downtown.
Facial wounds
The police officers who went to the scene actually found an elderly woman covered in blood, who was taken care of by the SAMU. She had wounds on her face and upper limbs but her vital prognosis was not in jeopardy.
His son, arrested by the police, was placed in police custody, where his behavior required psychiatric expertise. The doctor who examined him having concluded that the accused’s condition was not compatible with police custody, he was hospitalized on Sunday at Vinatier.
