A triathlete from the Segré club (Maine-et-Loire) suffered a heart attack this Saturday, October 5, shortly after 9 a.m., during a training session in the swimming pool. Taken care of by the firefighters and the Smur, he was transported to the Angers university hospital center.

This Saturday, October 5, around 9:15 a.m., a 48-year-old triathlete suffered a cardio-respiratory arrest during a training session held at the Les Nautiles swimming pool in Segré-en-Anjou Bleu (Maine-et-Loire).
The Smur dispatched a helicopter
First aid was provided by lifeguards before firefighters took over. The Smur team (mobile emergency and resuscitation structures) dispatched the helicopter.
The victim, resuscitated on site but in a state of absolute emergency, was repatriated to Angers University Hospital by road, under police escort.
