On Sunday September 29, the Dauxéen club hosted the Saint-Girons club at its facilities as part of the 1st zone round of the Coupe de France. A meeting which ended with a victory for Club Dauxéen against Saint-Girons Pétanque, winning 4 heads to heads, 1 doublet and 1 triplet. “Daux emerged victorious, but Saint-Girons was not unworthy, the head-to-head advantage was beneficial to us,” explains president Aurélien Souquet-Besson. And to continue, “We were treated to a very good Stéphane Delboy and an equally good Christophe Carrara, who were at the level during this meeting. Congratulations also to Christelle Cruzel, Gilles Moro, Patrice Vergnes, Olivier Panizzutti, Stéphane Lebon” and we will add president Aurélien Souquet-Besson as well as coach Mathieu Gougeon who knew how to transcend his group.
The president will not fail to express his thanks to André and Marie-José Getto for the preparation of the couscous for lunch, taken together with the opponents of the day, as well as to the referee Marc Santos for his necessary presence at the organization of this Zone tour. We also don’t forget the supporters who came to encourage the bowlers.
