A small delegation of priests and deacons, led by the Vicar General, went to collect the relic of the Heart of the Holy Curé of Ars which will wander in the diocese until May 19.
The delegation was welcomed by the current parish priest of Ars, Father Griveaux as well as the chancellor of the diocese of Belley.
It was Father Ronald Niño (youngest of the delegation) who presided over the mass in front of the shrine and with the chalice of the St. priest. We prayed for the diocese and in particular for the priests and vocations.
Here are the few words that Father Ronald shared with us: “we are called to bear witness, but bearing witness will consist of letting the Spirit act through a life enlivened by the love of God. Today we ask this grace from the Curé of Ars to give us the prophetic strength to continue to transmit joy and hope through the Word of God, the celebration of the Eucharist, but also the celebration of the Sacrament from Reconciliation. May, through the intercession of St Jean-Marie Vianney, the Holy Spirit help the diocese of Nîmes to revive its missionary heart. Amen »
