The General Counter

An ideal playground for aperitifs with friends or a perfect spot for an intimate drink, Le Comptoir Général is so vast that it offers more than one possibility. It is at the end of a long corridor dotted with windows that you will find this bar/restaurant/performance hall/living space divided into three parts. On one side the restaurant, specializing in seafood and cocktails, a touch sophisticated without being too fussy. On the other, the bar and its thousand and one nooks and crannies, up and down, at the bend of a vine, it feels like a pirate’s den in the depths of the Caribbean. The last part is a veranda open day and night (well part of the night…).

Stolen Glass

This is an address for hedonists like the canal has so much to offer. The difference with the others undoubtedly lies in its pioneer status. For more than twenty years, the address has delighted Parisians and tourists without distinction. The bottles of natural wine placed in the shelves on the walls serve as decor while the sound of pots and simmering dishes serves as a soundtrack. As the interior of the restaurant is somewhat cramped, it is best to reserve your table in advance.

Stolen Glass
67, rue Lancry – 10th
Monday-Sunday: 7 p.m.-midnight

Gibus

An essential club for queer communities in Paris, Gibus has established itself as a historic party venue in Paris. The evenings we recommend today? The “Purple” if your thing is pop in a safe and LGBTQIA+ setting, the “Classics Only” if you want to experience a nostalgia evening r’n’b and rap style of the 2000s or the “Bitch Party”. The latter is each time dedicated to a pop superstar supporting the LGBTQIA+ communities.

Gibus
18, rue du Faubourg-du-Temple – 11th
Friday-Sunday: 11:45 p.m.-6 a.m.

The small barrels

When you have finished your evening at Gibus, head straight across to Les Petits Tonneaux. It’s the quintessential Parisian neighborhood open 24 hours a day with a 5-ball pint during happy hour. How to finish better?
