May by bike 2024 marks the fourth national edition of this challenge. For the first time, the Department of Yonne allows all Icaunais to participate.
To participate in the May by bike event, you must download the mobile application Geovelo. Create an account and join the “Department of Yonne 89” community on the site. Then, you must record each trip made by bike via the application. Whether you are an experienced or novice cyclist, the challenge is open to all. The goal is you encourage cycling so that it becomes a habit. To make you want to take this means of transport, each kilometer that you travel in Yonne during the month of May will contribute to increasing the meter of our territory.
The initiative is in partnership with the Geovelo application. It allows you to ride on safe roads adapted to your bike: bicycle, cargo or electric bike. Taking part in May by bike is also help your area improve cycle paths thanks to the analyzes provided by Geovelo.
Integrate cycling into your daily life
Encourage the practice of bike, this is the objective of this May by bike. Communities, employers, schools and associations are invited to participate to help their community cover as many kilometers by bike as possible. The goal is tointegrate cycling into your daily life for a healthier and more ecological life.
Initiated by the Ministry of the Environment and Sports with theAssociation for the Promotion and Identification of Cycles and Active Mobility, the event is a partnership with the Geovelo application. It offers practical and safe routes. Whether for your health, the environment or simply for win your territoryyou all have a good reason to take your bike.
