This Saturday, May 3, for the 20e anniversary, a sporting raid was organized between the Salles d’Angles team and that of Willerwald, in Moselle, echoing the first raid carried out in 2004 and including 10 walkers, 2 cyclists and 5 guides in order to repeat the feat achieved there. twenty years ago.

The departure took place on May 4 from Salles-d’Angles for an arrival on May 9 in Willerwald in Moselle. The connection of the two cities takes place in 6 stages or 810 kilometers. Like their respective friendship because it should be noted that this friendship dates back to the exodus of the Second World War, in September 1939, when in a few minutes the Mosellans had to leave their village. Some were welcomed in Salles-d’Angles. This painful period left memories of unforgettable encounters. Couples were formed, family ties were born. The years passed and it was in 1987 that links were re-established between the two villages. Particularly strong and solid links since, since then, the meetings have taken place either in Willerwald or in Salles-d’Angles every two years.
