May 8 and Ascension Bridge: traffic will be very difficult on Tuesday, Sunday classified black in the Nord and Pas-de-Calais

The roads will be busy from Tuesday, on the eve of the public holidays of May 8 and 9. In the direction of departures, Bison futé indicates traffic classified as red throughout France. The first difficulties will be felt at the end of the afternoon. According to Vinci Autoroute, the good weather and the arrival of the Olympic flame in Marseille risk “to accentuate improvised departures”.

On Wednesday, traffic will be a little smoother, but will still be classified orange. Thursday and Friday, no particular difficulties were encountered. From Saturday, traffic will resume and the day is classified orange.

Sunday will be the most difficult day of the week, especially in the northwest of France, including the Nord and Pas-de-Calais, classified black.

“According to weather forecasts, returns could extend throughout the day on Sunday and even extend until late in the evening if the weather remains good. It is therefore strongly recommended to anticipate your trips and plan alternative routes to avoid traffic jams., says Vinci. To avoid the busiest roads, it is recommended to leave early in the morning or in the evening.
