Urban cultures: More than 30 young people will benefit from digital training

To promote cultural entrepreneurship, more than thirty young people who have projects in hip hop and urban cultures will benefit from online training following a call for applications. This new free training will be done in an innovative format (available on a mobile application) and is offered from this Thursday, May 2, 2024. It is entitled “Entrepreneurship in urban cultures” and is aimed at all enthusiasts of entrepreneurship in the fields of music, dance or any other project linked to urban cultures.

It is accessible via a mobile application from the phone, lasts between 8 to 9 hours. It allows you to acquire the essential skills and knowledge to succeed as an entrepreneur in urban cultures: how to navigate the hip hop ecosystem, develop an economic model for your project, master the marketing tools specific to this field, manage effectively your projects and resources. The objective of this project, supported by the French institute and the French embassy in Dakar, is to prepare young people to realize their ideas and launch their project.

The launch of the project took place at the house of urban cultures in the presence of co-founder of the Academy of Arts and Culture, François Catala who believes that “this training is made for enthusiasts of urban cultures, artists or entrepreneurs. But also for those who wish to enrich their skills and know-how, in music, dance, fashion, and cultural entrepreneurship in general. It brings together the best experts on the subject in Senegal, with whom LAFAAAC has been working for several months,” underlined the vice president of the organization.
