“This year, we decided to honor two local associationsto which we will donate one euro per bib”, announces Michel Mismetti, president of theAS Race of the ramparts.

In addition to its historic support for the Dravet Syndrome Alliance, The Rampart race from Provins (Seine-et-Marne) will be run this year for the benefit of the La Provinoise association, created in 2021 to raise funds for the rcancer research.

On October 6, 2024, nearly 1,000 participants are thus expected at the departure of two distances proposed, 6,3 km et 18,3 kmwhich will run in the heart of the medieval city.

130 volunteers and several activities

“The start will be given by Elena Faliez, Miss Île-de- 2023,” rejoices Michel Mismetti. At the moment we only have 600 starters, but people are registering later and later. Registrations are possible until the day, but there will be an increase of €3 on the day of the race for organizational reasons. I also remind you that the regulations having changed, we no longer accept medical certificatesbut only PPS (health prevention courses)delivered free of charge on the website of the French Athletics Federation. »

Around the race, which will be supervised by 130 volunteers, the public will be able to enjoy several animations. A car exhibition-sale will be organized by the garage Renault de Provins, one of the sponsors of the event, and three music groups locals will provide entertainment.

“The rockers from Bridge Out will be positioned near the Roseraie, The Finisher will play on the Place du Châtel and Les Percutés, coming from Nangis, will be at the Trou au chat,” concludes Michel Mismetti. Last year, La Course des remparts raised €500.

Start of the 6 km at 9 a.m. Start of the 18 km at 10 a.m. Online registration until October 3 on (€12 for the 6 km bib, €15 for the 18 km bib). Registration online or on site on the day of the race (€3 surcharge). Information: www.coursedesremparts.fr
