Fontenay-sous-Bois: he hid the drugs in a house in exchange for the rent

It is a quiet little street in Fontenay-sous-Bois, dotted with pavilions and pretty gardens. However, behind the windows of one of the houses on rue des Rosettes there was a nanny hiding. Its role: to store drugs on behalf of traffickers.

Police officers from the Fontenay anti-crime brigade (BAC) got their hands on this fence this Saturday around 5 p.m. after checking the two occupants of a car which was obviously going to this address. Had the BAC been informed that drug trafficking was taking place regularly in this neighborhood? Was it an unexpected traffic stop, where the crew was alerted by the suspicious behavior of the vehicle?

One thing is certain, it started with learning that the car in question, a Lynk & Co, was reported stolen. The police check the driver and passenger. They found some cannabis resin and several sachets of drug packaging.

They then head towards the house where the two men were going. The smell of cannabis is very present. And for good reason: the tenant had a little less than six kilos of grass and resin there. He will explain himself to the police about fulfilling the role of nanny. In exchange, he didn’t have to pay his rent. Officials also found 1,000 euros in cash during the search of the accommodation.

In total, four arrests took place in this case. The police also arrested an individual carrying a shopping bag who ran away when he saw the check. The investigation was entrusted to the local investigation service of the Fontenay-sous-Bois police station.
