Her highness serenely Prince Albert II of Monaco visited several places in the city of Mayennein the department of Mayenne (Laval) on Sunday May 5, 2024.
Prince Albert II of Monaco visits Mayenne
The reason for this visit is simple: family Grimaldiwho has led Monaco since 700 yearshas a link with the Mayenne, since a marriage. Since then, every prince of the principality is also, de facto, duke from Mayenne.
Albert II of Monaco arrived as planned around 2:45 p.m. He began his visit to the old Mayenne town hall. On this occasion, he formalized the new name of the square located in front of the building.
A new name for the place
This is the place Grimaldi of Monaco. A plaque was unveiled, in the presence of several personalities from Mayenne. Among them: Olivier Richefoupresident of the departmental council, Jean-Pierre Le Scornet, president of Mayenne Community and mayor of Mayenne, Yannick Favennecdeputy for North Mayenne, Guillaume Chevrollier, senator.
A first water bath
His Serene Highness, on this occasion, took a first walk in the crowd. He was able to interact with the many Mayenne residents present.
A young girl even gave him a drawing, representing the armories of Monaco, which the prince appreciated. As a result, in exchange he gave him a medal illustrating this sovereign state, completely enshrined in France.
We follow Prince Albert of Monaco in all his travels. What we can say is that he is very nice, and that he does not have to enforce complicated protocols to the letter.
The Prince, accompanied by Jean-Pierre Le Scornet, in particular, then wandered in the streets from Mayenne until reaching the castle. He was able to continue to bring salvation to many Mayennais, even taking part in the game of selfies.
Rain and coolness
THE rains were present, and the freshness, but the heat were in the hearts, simplicity, and quality of exchanges. The Prince’s visit continued at the Château de Mayenne from 4 p.m.
