: “sweet boxes” to offer a real Christmas to the most vulnerable

To offer a real Christmas to the most vulnerable. Solidarity Patrons restarts its operation sweet boxes “. This is the fifth edition this year and around twenty volunteers assembled, this Thursday, October 3, in the premises of Secours Populaire in Marly, the more than 1,200 boxes, empty for the moment, which were then sent to partner companies, associations and local authorities (40 in total), where they will be decorated with small gifts.

Delivery of these sweet boxes will take place just before the end of year holidays.. The beneficiaries of six humanitarian associations will benefit before Christmas (Secours populaire, Secours catholique, Fondation Emmaüs, AIEM).

Julie Glaudethe communications manager for Metz Mécènes Solidaires, explains that the operation is a hit! 2 years ago, only 600 sweet boxes were distributed: ” more and more partners have joined us, and they really want to participate in this surge of solidarity ! “.

The Secours populaire de Moselle will collect 800 sweet boxes, which the association also calls happiness boxes. Its president Céline Meriot gives us his ideal Christmas list for his beneficiaries: ” chocolate, a scarf, books, anything that can make this end-of-year period more pleasant, which is always delicate for the most precarious “.
