Arrest warrants have been issued for five individuals allegedly involved in the attempted murder that occurred in La Baie on April 15, when an “innocent victim” was shot.

Stéphane Hébert, 32, Zachary Gagnon, 21, and Ghislain Grenier, 54, are expected to face charges of attempted murder. The latter resides in Ste-Béatrix, while the other two are in the and Saint-Jérôme correctional centers.

Kim Warren-Lapointe and Rosalie Bourassa, both 26 years old and from Rawdon, will face a charge of discharging a firearm.

They are all believed to be affiliated with the Blood Family Mafia (BFM) street gang.

“Other charges will also be filed against these individuals,” indicates the spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), Hugues Beaulieu, specifying that other arrests could take place in this case.

Remember that the victim was shot while she was in her home on 6th Avenue, near Port-Alfred, in the middle of the night.

According to authorities, this attempted murder took place in the wake of the conflict over drug trafficking royalties involving street gangs and the Hells Angels. However, the man targeted in this case has nothing to reproach himself for.

“This victim, who had nothing to do with the conflict over royalties, suffered serious physical and psychological injuries,” laments Mr. Beaulieu.

The sergeant highlights the excellent collaboration between the SQ and the Saguenay Police Department which led to concrete results in this case.
