In a statement to the press following the first meeting of the Interministerial Commission in charge of the rehabilitation program for areas affected by floods in the south-east of the Kingdom, Mr. Akhannouch stressed that this financial assistance reflects the high level of concern of which the Sovereign continues to support the affected populations, specifying that the amount of this aid will be 80,000 dirhams to finance the rehabilitation work on partially collapsed homes and 140,000 dirhams for completely collapsed homes.

This meeting was devoted to examining the means of implementing the high royal guidelines relating to the allocation of aid of 2.5 billion dirhams to the victims following these floods, he added, noting that this sum will be deposited with the Fund to Combat the Effects of Natural Disasters.

The head of government specified that the appropriate program was put in place to deal with the repercussions of the floods based on field work carried out by the parties concerned, noting that this work made it possible to assess the extent of the damage and the needs of the affected populations.
