The Indre department is on storm alert this Sunday, May 5, with weather conditions expected to deteriorate from 4 p.m. “There will be a risk of moderate to locally strong thunderstorms in a southern part of Berry”warns the association in its bulletin.
These storms could be locally accompanied by hail, a phenomenon which had a strong impact on the department in 2022 and “sustained rain (locally 10 to 30 mm of water in a short time) generating runoff and accumulation of water”.
Risk of overflow on roads
It is in the face of this risk of overflowing waterways, particularly the Creuse median, already at the “yellow” alert level on the Vigicrues site that the prefecture has launched a prevention message.
