Pas-de-Calais. A company is looking for residents willing to invest in wind turbines

The company Boralex, specializing in renewable energies, launched a crowdfunding campaign on September 24, 2024, for a wind farm project in Helfaut (Pas-de-). As reported The Voice of the North the company offers residents and those of the entire Pays de Saint-Omer agglomeration community (CAPSO) the opportunity to participate in order to “benefit from the financial benefits of the park”.

As Boralex indicates on the Enerfip platform, “the funds raised will be injected to support the cost of additional studies at the end of construction, and operations linked to the maintenance and operation of the park”. Interested people have until November 5, at 11:59 p.m., to invest in these future installations, indicate our colleagues.

More than €60,000 raised

According to the project manager, Mathieu Carbonel, placements start from €10, to allow everyone “to contribute according to one’s means”quotes the local newspaper. The company notably promises them an interest rate of 7% gross per year, for 36 months. The money will come from “economic benefits of the project, generated by the sale of electricity”details the company.

In general, 100 to 200 people commit €2,000 on average in this type of investment, according to Enerfip. This Tuesday, October 1, a little more than €60,000 has already been collected, specifies The Voice of the North. Note that residents of all the municipalities where the company is established can also invest in the park.
