In Villedieu-les-Poêles-Rouffigny (Manche), the Cornille-Havard foundry is restoring eight bells from the north tower of Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral. They must be reinstalled in the belfry in the summer to ring on December 8, 2024, the day of reopening.

“For a bell founder, working for Notre-Dame de Paris is a bit of a lifelong dream,” summarizes Paul Bergamo, head of the Cornille-Havard foundry in Villedieu-les-Poêles-Rouffigny (Manche). The workshop restores eight bells of the cathedral. Its mission: to restore its voice to the cathedral, silent since the fire in 2019.
