The president of the department of Hérault met the mayor Sébastien Frey mid-morning. Several issues were discussed during this interview.

First of all, the project to double the departmental road 612 was discussed. “The studies were complex, but we should launch the public inquiry before the end of this year,” confides the president. The footbridge over the Hérault, which will connect the Promenade to Château Laurens, was also discussed. Here again, “the Department will provide its assistance”, assures Kléber Mesquida, just as on the multimodal exchange hub project, at the SNCF station.
On the question of security, the two men announced the creation of a new emergency center. “The current one (located in the 7-Fonts area) is extremely cramped,” confides the president. The town hall therefore targeted land in the Guiraudette area, after the Lidl store, for the construction of this new fire station.
