Forget burgers, fries and other pizzas, make way for pancakes and pancakes! In Villevaudé (Seine-et-Marne), Véronique Poupet launched its food truck last June, Mum’gozh. Encounter.
A desire
Véronique Poupet has not always been in the restaurant business. For years, she worked in the pharmaceutical industry. She realized a few months ago that she wanted something else. “ I sat down and thought. I have always been independent, and I liked the concept of the food truck,” she recalls.
She therefore opts for pancakes and pancakes. And what better place than Brittany to learn this art? Véronique Poupet follows intense training, during a month, at theCrepe workshopan international crepe school based in Saint-Malo (Ille-et-Vilaine). “We follow a compulsory module on hygienebut we also learn how to make pancakes, how to make toppings, maintaining the stocks. It’s not like home! “, she explains.
She then followed an internship in a creperie in the Rhône, where she was able to put into practice what she had learned.
Specialties
On board his turquoise truckit offers different specialties. Of course, we find the traditional galette “complete”, but also “trout”, composed of smoked trout and leek fondue. She also offers “chorizo”, with, as its name suggests, chorizo, peppers, and Emmental.
When it comes to crepes, there is something for everyone, with a emphasis on local. “The flour and buckwheat come from Moulins Bourgeois, in Verdelot. The honey that I use in the honey crepe comes from Villevaudé,” she assures.
You can already discover it in Brou-sur-Chantereine, avenue de la République, on Thursdays, and in the parking lot of the Ivan-Peyches school, in Villevaudé, on Tuesdays and Fridays.
