• THE Bazas flower market from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Place de la Cathédrale: come and meet numerous exhibitors around bedding plants, bonsai, rose bushes, various shrubs, vegetable and aromatic plants. You can also visit flower gardens throughout the day.

• Welcome to the land of peacocks Citran castle in Avensan in the Médoc: all year round, young and old are invited to dive into the world of peacocks. But not only ! On the occasion of the May 8 bridge, the castle celebrates spring on Wednesday May 8 (full) and offers you a whole host of activities. So, you can follow Alice to the land of water on Thursday, discover the secrets of Citran on Friday or even go with Léo to the land of ants on Saturday. From 10€

Thursday May 9, 2024

• Place at the festival Imagin’era in Captieux from Thursday May 9 to Saturday May 11: this is the 5th edition of this festival which brings families together in a festive spirit. A true artistic and cultural event in a rural environment, it encourages meeting and sharing. During the day, young and old alike have fun with a program dedicated to the family. In the evening, music and concerts are on the program. From €8 for adults, festival passes available. The festival is free for children under 5 years old. A single price of €5 is offered to children aged 5 to 15.

• THE little adventurers take possession of the Porge from Thursday May 9 to Saturday May 11: get ready for 3 days of family adventure with children aged 0 to 15. On the program: surfing, canoeing, paddle, fishing, gathering and cooking wild plants, yoga, cycling, slacklining… In the evening, time for talks and a lively evening. It’s up to you to choose between the big adventure: Thursday May 9 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., the small adventure: Thursday May 9, Friday May 10 and Saturday May 11 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and the evening: Thursday May 9 and Friday 10 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Prices: from €19 to €99 for children / from €29 to €199 for adults / Free for children under 3 years old

• Cadillac-sur-Garonne can be visited in the time of the Dukes Thursday May 9: this bastide founded in the 13th century hides a fascinating history. Follow in the footsteps of Jeanne, an orphan, who joins the Duchess’s team of cooks. On the program: discover daily life in Cadillac at the beginning of the 17th century, from the intrigues of the Duke’s court to the echoes of the wars of religion, from the assassination of Henry IV to the regency under Louis XIII. Prices: from 5 euros for children to 21 euros for adults. The meeting point: Porte de la mer in Cadillac this Thursday at 3 p.m. and an additional date: May 19

• Soulac reveals its treasures to you on Friday May 10. The pirates’ treasure is yours. Go hunting for clues hidden in the city. The stories of piracy, the marine world and the legends of Soulac will no longer hold any secrets for you. Games, observations and workshops… you will love it! • The festival Gliss’art is back in Lacanau from Friday May 10 to Sunday May 12: since 1998, Gliss’art has been the surf culture and arts meeting place. The Escoure room at Lacanau Océan is transformed into an exhibition and entertainment room. The opening will kick off the festivities on Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. in the presence of the exhibited artists. Throughout the weekend, you will find a garage sale (Saturday), the screening of the film “Culture houleuse” (Saturday at 8:45 p.m.) but also a competition (Sunday). From 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Saturday May 11, 2024

• THE Côtes de Bourg open their doors to you this weekend. For two days, the wine producers of the appellation invite you to discover their wines. On the program: tastings and visits to the cellars. Among the activities, you can notably learn to create your wine as a team on Saturday (10€ per group), the Côtes de Bourg banquet (36€ per person on Saturday evening) or the wine tour on a little train on Sunday (12 € per person)… and many other proposals. From 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

• The Virelart’daise lodges organize the Meeting of artistic crafts. Take advantage of your Sunday to take part in the 4th edition of this event which gives pride of place to artisans and their creations. The latter will thus offer exhibitions and sales. Also on the program are demonstrations of the know-how of certain artisans such as working with leather, clay, etc. Free entry. From 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
