The works

For its part, the VIP company installed a new heat pump with increased performance compared to the previous one.

Furthermore, centralized technical management makes it possible to control the new indoor units with a pulse system, which allows the Energy and Fluid Management manager to optimize heating management in unoccupied rooms and offices according to the schedule. occupation of the premises. In total, the City of Castelnau-le-Lez invested €336,198 in this operation, supported to the tune of €100,000 by the State.

An energy saving of 60%

“This exemplary renovation responds to the need to control the energy consumption of municipal buildings, communities not benefiting from the tax shield, and currently paying 42 cents per kWh consumed” explains Frédéric Lafforgue, already satisfied with this work. Indeed, the objective of the work being to halve the energy consumption of the DAP premises, “the bet is met, with supporting invoices: during the first month of operation, we achieved an energy saving of 60% for the building part compared to 2023” underlines the mayor.

Several other municipal facilities have previously benefited from thermal renovation work, including the Jean-Moulin school (thermal insulation from the outside), the Palais des Sports, the Rose de France school (replacement of the boiler) and the Saint-Exupéry school (replacement of the boiler). Furthermore, in each municipal building, an energy representative provides information on good practices to contain fluid bills (energy, water).
