This weekend will be festive at the Cité de la gastronomy which blows out its second candle. Masterclasses, visits, activities and tastings are on the program for this first weekend of May in Dijon (Côte-d’Or). Here is a sample of what to expect.

Entertainment and culture

Visitors will investigate! A giant Cluedo is organized on May 5 with a departure from the Cité hall. A reservation is required in advance to delve into the mystery of the great gourmet. A life-size theatrical investigation game was concocted by the La Grande Enquête association.

A theatrical and gourmet visit to the exhibition “What if we went to a restaurant?” » is also organized for a journey through time meeting the greatest chefs at historic moments in gastronomy.

A treasure hunt is organized for children to help them discover the City differently.

Culinary shows

The starred chef Takashi Kinoshitaexecutive chef of Table de La Cueillette in Meursault, will a cooking demonstration.

“Two years of the City” restoration

Star chef Takashi Kinoshita, Florent Colombo, famous Dijon chef and David Gomes, Meilleur Ouvrier de France, come together to offer you an exceptional menu for a memorable birthday lunch.

Burgundy wine school

A workshop Burgundy cheese and wine pairings is organized for a total immersion of the senses in the heart of Burgundy white wines.

An olfactory and taste exercise challenges visitors who will have to recognize a Pinot noir from a Gamaytwo emblematic red grape varieties of Burgundy.

Concerts

The guitar-singing duo Acoustic Jam will pay tribute to the legends of Anglo-Saxon music.

The pop/rock duo Satellitewhich mixes original compositions and covers of French and international pop hits will also be present to liven up the festivities.
