SAccording to L-Post, BBK Expansion’s lawyer pleaded for judicial liquidation, but the court declared Babykid bankrupt. This marks the end of the chain of 11 stores in Wallonia and Brussels, employing around seventy workers.

Two curator lawyers have been appointed, in charge of finding a potential buyer. It would take at least one million euros to relaunch the activity, L-Post further indicated.
The company specializing in the sale of baby items and birth lists had already requested a judicial reorganization procedure (PRJ) last April. This PRJ granted a three-month reprieve to the company in order to reach a collective agreement with its creditors. Management, however, would have decided to withdraw this request from the court, in order to avoid aggravating BBK Expansion’s debts, detailed L-Post.
