“We couldn’t be clearer,” laughs Kenza Ayed when talking about the name of her restaurant, La Tartine. There is no doubt, customers know what awaits them. The establishment opened its doors on Thursday May 2, 2024 in the city center of Brest, at number 8 rue Pasteur.

“We had been looking for premises for 2 and a half years,” emphasizes Arnaud Cordillet. The thirty-year-old displays an XXL smile. ” He realises his dream “, glides just as radiant, her sister-in-law, Sarah Ayed. The student will help the couple on weekends and school holidays.

“Delicious dishes”

Arnaud Cordillet, a trained chef, left his job as an order picker in a DIY store to return to his first love. Happy to be working behind the stove again.

On the restaurant’s menu, six choices of sandwiches (from 11 euros): vegetarian, salmon, goat’s cheese, chicken… “Everything is home made, with fresh and local products. We keep it simple and effective, explains Kenza Ayed. The dishes are very delicious and served with a salad. » Clearly, the customer does not leave hungry. And if she bothers him, he can always treat himself to dessert. There are two to choose from every day, from tiramisu to chocolate cake, the offer evolves according to the chef’s inspiration.

The business has around thirty seats. In fine weather, a few tables will be set up outside.
